The Capital Area Advanced Research and Education Network (CAAREN) joined the Global City Teams Challenge (GCTC) in Washington, DC to discuss opportunities for community engaged innovation through collaboration with technology leaders, universities and city governments. CAAREN presented the CyberCity Education Platform Action Cluster to bring together city, industry and academic institutions from across the region to work together to create customizable city-specific courses and a training practicum that can be configured to mimic a city’s critical systems.
