The Capital Area Advanced Research and Education Network (CAAREN) Summit was held January 30, 2017 to discuss status improvements, ongoing projects and initiatives, as well as collaboration opportunities. Representatives from CAAREN member institutions attended the meeting to share ideas.
A meeting to discuss Big Data, Wireless Research and App Development was held at GW's Science and Engineering Hall on January 31, 2017. Division of IT staff, GW researchers and members of the D.C. Office of the Chief Technology Officer were in attendance. The attendees discussed the Smarter D.C. program, U.S. Ignite Smart Gigabit Community and the National Science Foundation's Platforms for Advanced Wireless Research.
