GW Information Technology Research Technology Services

GW Information Technology provides a number of research technology services for GW students, faculty, staff and community members. These services support computationally intensive research computing and are designed to enhance the university's research and education goals. Multicast: CAAREN is Investigating

While multicast is an efficient mechanism to distribute content on IP ntworks, problems such as perceived complexity have kept it from fulfilling its promise. Work being conducted at GW by CAAREN and industry partners could change that.
