The Voice of Technology Magazine from Northern Virginia Technology Council featured GW's research technology work around the D.C. region and the future of connected technology. In the cover story of the Spring 2017 edition, Mark Toner reviews the future of cloud, cybersecurity and the Internet of Things, while also looking at the network that existed before the Internet. The article discusses the influence of the Capital Area Advanced Research and Education Network (CAAREN) in the D.C. metro area, as well as projects and initiatives with GW involvement, including Pennsylvania Avenue 2040, the Gramercy District and a cyber hub to help advance cybersecurity training and experimentation.
